Texas Forever - Mark Gamo

Last weekend I had some friends visit me in Austin, Texas. Yes, you heard me right, I live in Austin now. It’s only been about 5 months since I moved from Los Angeles to Texas but I’ve quickly made this place my home.

The reasons for me to uproot from my home town of Huntington Beach, CA to good ole’ Texas has been an ever longing dream of mine to find my True West (homage to a Sam Shepard play) I believe I’ve found it here and looking to break ground on my own little frontier paradise. And so with that said I had two of my friends visit me redefining our friendship and completing the full circle we once started back in 2017.

While the boys were in town, we decided what better way to explore Travis County and its surrounding neighbors was to rent motorcycles from Twisted Road. We had to check out the old dance halls like Gruene Hall and Luckenbach where you would see greats like Willie Nelson and up rising stars such as Nikki Lane.

The Weekend went and gone in a split second but we’ve definitely made a mark and put our time together in good use.
